The Moyer Foundation is a public, 501(c)(3) organization with a mission to provide comfort, hope and healing to children affected by loss and family addiction. Camp Erin(R) is the nation's largest network of free bereavement camps for grieving children and teens ages 6-17. Camp Mariposa(R) is a free, first-of-its-kind program for children ages 9-12 impacted by a a family member's addiction. With the community’s support, The Moyer Foundation creates and funds programs that directly serve the needs of children in physical, emotional or financial distress.
Camp Erin is a traditional, fun weekend camp combined with grief education and emotional support. With approximately 45 camp locations nationwide, Camp Erin is the largest bereavement camp in the country, serving nearly 12,600 children since 2002. With the community’s support of the Campaign for Kids, The Moyer Foundation plans to establish as many as 60 new camps nationwide- including at least one camp in every Major League Baseball city.
Camp Erin is facilitated through a partnership with a local hospice or grief support agency. Together, these organizations and The Moyer Foundation raise funds to help establish new camps, bringing the healing experience of Camp Erin to children in more communities each year.
