Elijah Cummings Leadership and Awards Dinner
In 2022, the Board of Directors of Roberta’s House established the Elijah Cummings Leadership Award. This award is presented annually, or as determined by the Board, to an individual who has shown meaningful leadership in advancing the mission of Roberta’s House: addressing the impact of grief, loss, and trauma on the mental wellness of children, teens, adults, and families.
Awardees are selected by a majority vote of the Board. In considering nominees, the Board may seek individuals who:
-
Demonstrate leadership in fundraising or advocacy for Roberta’s House
-
Have been early leaders and long-time supporters of the mission
-
Help attract corporate sponsors and event attendees
This award honors the spirit of service, commitment, and community impact that the late Congressman Elijah Cummings embodied throughout his life.
Anyone interested in joining the Host Committee or supporting the upcoming Cummings Awards should contact Roberta’s House at cummingsawards@robertashouse.org or call (410) 235-6633.
