Roberta’s House School-Based Youth Emotional Wellness Program

At Roberta’s House, we are dedicated to nurturing emotional resilience and healing students coping with grief. Our School-Based Youth Emotional Wellness Program provides compassionate, structured support to help young people navigate loss in a healthy, constructive way.

Through tailored workshops, peer support groups, and school partnerships, we address the unique emotional needs of grieving students. We also collaborate with schools to align with the Maryland Health Education Framework’s grief education standards, ensuring students receive the care and guidance necessary for emotional well-being.

How the Program Works

Our school partnerships begin with a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with school leadership. From there:

  • We meet with faculty and key school community members to create a customized program plan and timeline.
  • We work with school leadership to encourage parent and guardian involvement, building a strong support network.

Our School-Based Programs:

  • Purpose: Introduce grief concepts, build emotional awareness
  • Format: 45–60-minute workshops, customized for different grade levels
  • Goal: Equip students with basic grief knowledge and coping skills, preparing them for peer support groups
