Our vision is a world where no one has to grieve alone. We strive to be the leading center of hope and healing, where every individual facing loss can access compassionate support, comprehensive resources, and a caring community.

 

MISSION STATEMENT

Roberta’s house is committed to transforming grief into healing through trauma-informed care for children, adults, and families. Recognizing unaddressed grief is a silent public health crisis; through education, advocacy, peer support, therapeutic and community centered services, we build resilience and restore hope- helping communities heal, grow and thrive.

Roberta’s house will achieve its vision and mission by:

  1. Increasing public awareness and addressing the need of supporting children and families who are grieving a natural or traumatic death of a family member or significant person.
  2. Providing a confidential setting to facilitate the emotional, physical and spiritual healing for grieving children and families where grief can be expressed and experienced safely.
  3. The sharing and freedom of expression through peer support and professional services that will encourage healthy coping skills.
  4. Encouraging a nurturing positive family support system.
  5. Implementing community outreach programs that offer grief intervention for schools, human service providers and organizations in the event of sudden or traumatic death.
  6. Offering educational training and technical assistance for community groups, churches and healthcare practitioners.
